Auntie Leona does not remember her age because her birth certificate got lost when the community was fleeing the Japanese invasion in 1942. She is believed to be around 100 years old. She never went to school, never married and has never taken a Western medicine. But she is still active in the community looking after the young whenever she can. She epitomizes the village that raises the child.
